 Michelle
Chavarria is a magna cum laude graduate from Oklahoma City University with a
Bachelor's of Performing Arts degree in Dance Performance. She has performed all
across the country in places like Busch gardens where she was captain and
performer, Six Flags Astroworld as lead dancer and choreographer of the What's
Up Rock show, and with both the NBA Charlotte Hornets and the NFL Houston Texans
as a cheerleader, captain, and one of their choreographers.
Michelle is very proud of all that she has accomplished in the Houston
Community. She is one of the newest choreographers for the NBA Houston Rockets
Power Dancers and the WNBA Houston Comets Team N-RGY Co - ED Dance Team.
Michelle is also heavily involved with the drill team community around Texas.
She choreographs for dancers ages 4 - high school in disciplines such as
lyrical, jazz, tap, and pom. Michelle has worked with notable junior drill teams
such as the Kingwood Strutters, the Dancin' Bluebonnets, and the Meadow's
Majestics. Her high school routines and officer lines have won on both the
regional and national stage with her most recent accomplishments including two
national championships with Crowd Pleasers and MA. You can also see her over the
summer with organizations such as USA Jazz Camp and Crowd Pleasers Officer
Camps, working with dancers from all across the country.
On the competition circuit, Michelle has won numerous entertainment,
choreography and overall high point awards. These awards have come from
regional, national, and international competitions. She also works as a
competition judge for organizations such as Kids Artistic review, Sophisticated
Productions, and Dance Showcase USA. Dancers under Michelle's guidance have gone
on to perform on cruise ships, theme parks, and work as choreographers for
organizations such as Six Flags. Michelle truly feels though that her biggest
accomplishment is watching the kids grow and learn and have a true love and
passion for the art of dance. These young people are truly her inspiration.
